Jessica Doherty

Jessica Doherty is a writer and editor based in New York City and Los Angeles. She graduated in 2020 from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Theatre and a B.A. in Journalism. She is continuing her studies at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and pursuing an M.A. in Specialized Reporting with an emphasis on arts, entertainment, and culture. She has worked with Forster-Thomas as a certified copyeditor for the past two years. Over the past four years, she has served as an editor at USC Annenberg Media, a 384-person student newsroom that produces digital, social, television, and radio content, and will serve as one of the two executive editors next semester. She is also a managing editor and writer for the online arts magazine AmpersandLA, where her work is a finalist for a Los Angeles Press Club Award for student journalism. She has worked professionally in theater for over 10 years and as a director, producer, stage manager, dramaturg, and actor for over 10 USC productions and events. She has also interned with Center Theatre Group, one of the largest nonprofit theaters in the country, in their press office and with the L.A. Downtown Women's Center on PR strategy.
