Ben Feuer
Ben's lifelong fascination with storytelling has led him to a diverse career in essay coaching, education and film. In high school, Ben's plays won award from the the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English and the Asbury Park Repertory Theatre. Ben graduated with honors from Wesleyan University's top-ranked film theory program, where his thesis short film, "The Professor," won Best Acting from a festival in Hawaii. Since then, his short films have screened at festivals such as Outfest and Sacramento and have been distributed worldwide through companies such as Ouat! Media and the Mini Movie Channel. Ben's most recent work in film was as a producer of Patrik-Ian Polk's third feature film, The Skinny.
As an educator, Ben has taught screenwriting at the undegraduate level at Columbia University, administered an eight-week filmmaking workshop to underprivileged NYC teenagers through DCTV's Pro-TV summer youth program, where he guided students through the entire process of making a short film, and led a discussion section of an American Film Studies class originated by Andrew Sarris.
Ben is thrilled to bring his diverse experience in work and life to Forster-Thomas, where he helps aspiring graduate students unearth their life stories and give voice to them.
